Table Management System (TMST) Table is one of two applications that allows you to view a complete list of TMS views. The other application is TMS Code Maintenance (TMSC).
Typically, more restrictive access is placed on this application since it is used to indicate who will be allowed to maintain codes in each TMS table. Staff members that are responsible for TMS Table Definition maintenance should be granted access to this application, while users that are only responsible for TMS Code entry and maintenance should only be granted access to the TMS Edit Code Table List application.
It is strongly recommended that you set security on the TMS Table Definition application (TMST) immediately after installing Advance.
To access the TMS Table Definition application:
From the Main Menu click Go To.
When Go To appears select TMS Table Definition, mnemonic TMST.
Click Go.
When the TMS Table Definition application appears, it will display a list of all existing TMS tables. As with other master/detail forms in Advance, the details of the selected row display in the detail portion of the form when you select the row. Click the ellipsis button to the left of the Table Code to view codes in the selected TMS table.
If you have TMS Table Maintenance Rights, you may add, edit or remove values by clicking the appropriate menu item (New, Save, Delete) on the Form Header.
Clients that wish to add their own TMS views may do so by creating new TMS views that have table codes that begin with the values # and @. These two values have been reserved specifically for client use, and will not be used in the baseline product.
Entries in the TMS Table Definition List are stored in tms_tms_table_def.
If a user has inquiry-only access to a table in the list of TMS views, the information will display flat and will not be available for maintenance. A user must have maintenance rights for the Table Definition to appear in maintenance mode.
