The Sport Lookup is used to search for information about an entity’s participation in sports while attending the institution. For example, use this lookup to search for all entities that have a particular sport type, all entities that have a particular participation code or all entities that are team captains of their sport.

Data Fields:

Sport |
The sport that you wish to look up. Values in this drop-down list are validated against the tms_sport table (BU). If a user group code is associated with a value that appears in this drop-down, the user group code will appear in addition to the description and the code. |

Participation |
The level or type of participation in the sport that you wish to look up. Values in this drop-down list are validated against the tms_sport_particip table (BV). |

Start |
The date on which the entity that you wish to look up started participating in the sport. Must be a valid partial date. |

Stop |
The date on which this entity that you wish to look up stopped participating in the sport. Must be a valid partial date. |

Comment |
A general comment on the sport played by the entity that you wish to look up. |

Team Captain |
This field indicates whether the entity served as captain of the team for the sport or not. Hard-coded values include Team Captain, Not Team Captain, and ALL. |

Data Source |
The source from which the sports information originated. Values are validated against the tms_data_source table. |
