The Name Lookup is used to search for information on the various names an entity uses or has used. For example, use this lookup to search for all entities that have a particular name type or an entity based on their first, middle or last name.
Note: Names that contain diacritical marks (accented characters) are stored in the name record. However, the sort name, select name and lookup name are converted to uppercase and do not contain the diacritics. Because the lookup name does not contain diacritics, you can search for an entity using their name, without the accented character.

Type |
The name type you wish to look up. Values in this drop-down list are validated against the tms_name_type table (BJ). |

Last/Org |
The last name or organization name that you wish to look up. |

First |
The first name of the entity you wish to look up. |

Middle |
The middle name of the entity that you wish to look up. |

Salutation |
The salutation of the entity that you wish to look up. |
|
Rpt Name |
The report name stored for this entity in mixed case format (upper/lower) that you wish to look up. The default format for a person entity is last name + space + suffix + space + professional suffix + comma + first name + space + middle name. This column is defaulted to the organization long name 1 for an organization entity. |

Mail Name |
The mail name for the entity that you wish to look up. |

Sort Name |
The sort name for the entity that you wish to look up. The default sort name format is: Last name, followed by a comma and first name, followed by a comma and middle name, all in uppercase, for this person entity; or Organization name, all in caps for this organization entity. |

The organization name for the organization entity that you wish to look up. |

Data Src |
This field indicates the source from which the name information you wish to look up originated. Values in this drop-down list are validated against the tms_data_source table (YI). |

Check-box indicating you want the lookup to access names that sound like the entered criteria (e.g. Chew will access Chu and Choo). |
