Employment Lookup

The Employment Lookup is used to search for both organization and person entities based on employment information. For example, use this lookup to search for all entities that are employed by the same employer, all entities that have the same job type or all entities that are employed by a matching gift company.

How Do I Perform an Advanced Lookup?

Data Fields:

Employer	The entity ID number for the employer that you wish to look up. This field and the Employer 1,2 fields are mutually exclusive, meaning that you may enter in information in one of the two fields but not both of them.
Employer Name 1,2	The name of the organization associated with this entity you wish to look up. These fields and the Employer field are mutually exclusive, meaning that you may enter in information in one of the two fields but not both of them.
Job Type	The type of person/organization relationship you wish to look up. Values in this drop-down list are validated against the tms_employmt_relat table (BM).
Job Status	The status of the person/org relationship. Values in this drop-down list are validated against the tms_job_status table (BP).
Job Title	The job title of the entity that you wish to look up.
Nature of Bus.	This text field describes the nature of the business associated with this person and organization that you wish to look up.
Occupat Name	This text field describes the occupational name for this person for this employment that you wish to look up.
Position Desc	A description of how the entity you wish to look up describes their position within the employment.
Position Level	The entity’s relative position level within the organization that you wish to look up. Values in this drop-down list are validated against the tms_position_level table (BQ).
Fld of Work	The type of work that the entity you wish to look up does. Values in this drop-down list are validated against the tms_fld_of_work table (BS).
Fld of Spec1,2,3	Three drop-down lists of field of specialization for the employee that you wish to look up. Values in this drop-down list are validated against the tms_fld_of_spec table (BT).
Place Of Work	This code identifies where the person you wish to look up works. Values in this drop-down list are validated against the tms_place_of_work table (BR).
Employer Unit	This text field indicates the name of the employer unit you wish to look up.
Data Src	This field indicates the source from which the employment information you wish to look up originated. Values in this drop-down list are validated against the tms_data_source table (YI).
Comment	A comment on this employment record that you wish to look up.
Start	Start date of the employment for the entity that you wish to look up. Must be a valid partial date.
Stop	Stop date for the employment for the entity that you wish to look up. Must be a valid partial date.
Self Employ	This field indicates whether the entity that you wish to look up is self employed. Hard-coded values include Self Employed, Not Self Employed, and ALL.
Primary Emp.	This field indicates whether the employment record that you wish to look up is the entity’s primary employment record. Hard-coded values include Primary Employment, Not Primary Employment, and ALL.
Match	This field indicates whether the employment record that you wish to look up is a matching record or not. Hard-coded values include Matching, Not Matching, and ALL.
Emp Attribute 1-5	Additional attributes about the employment record. Drop-downs lists; validated against tms_emp_attribute_1 (D1), tms_emp_attribute_2 (D2), tms_emp_attribute_3 (D3), tms_emp_attribute_4 (D4) and tms_emp_attribute_5 (D5) views.
Change Source	The source of information that provided the update to the record. Values in this drop-down are validated against tms_change_source (GU).
