The Degrees Lookup is used to search for information about degrees earned by an entity at your institution and/or any other institution as well as information on secondary schools attended by the entity. For example, use this lookup to search for all entities that have a degree from the local institution, all entities that have a non-local degree or all entities that earned their degree during a specific year.

Data Fields:

Institution |
The institution from which the entity you are looking up received their degree. |

Degree |
The degree earned by the entity that you wish to look up. Values in this drop-down list are validated against the tms_degrees table (AV). |

Concentration |
The field of concentration associated with the degree for the entity that you wish to look up. Values in this drop-down list are validated against the tms_concentration table (D8). |

Fin. Aid |
The financial aid awarded to the entity that you wish to look up. Values in this drop-down list are validated against the tms_financial_aid table (FO). |

Quarters |
The number of quarters which the person you are looking up attended at the institution. |
|
School |
The school within the institution that the entity you are looking up attended. Values in this drop-down list are validated against the tms_school table (AF). |
|
Campus |
The campus of the institution that the entity you are looking up attended. Values in this drop-down list are validated against the tms_campus table (GN). |

Major 1,2,3 |
The entity’s major (up to three) that you are looking up. Values in this drop-down list are validated against the tms_majors table (AU). |

Minor 1,2 |
The entity’s minor (up to two) that you are looking up. Values in this drop-down list are validated against the tms_minors table (G7). |

Data Src |
This field indicates the source from which the degree information you wish to look up originated. Values in this drop-down list are validated against the tms_data_source table (YI). |

Adm. Status |
The admission status of the entity you wish to look up. Values in this drop-down list are validated against the tms_admiss_status table (BL). |

Adm. Year |
The year of admission to the institution from which the degree was received. Note: if System Option #66 is set to N, any valid number (not necessarily a 4-digit year). may be entered. If System Option #66 is set to Y only years between 1700 and 2100 may be entered. |

Hon. Degree |
The honorary degree granted to the entity you wish to look up. Values in this drop-down list are validated against the tms_degrees table (AV). |

Advisor ID |
The Advance entity ID number of the advisor of the entity you wish to look up. |

Class Section |
The class section within the class associated with the degree of the entity that you wish to look up. Values in this drop-down list are validated against the tms_class_section table (AZ). |

Advisor Name |
The name of the academic advisor of the entity you are looking up. |
|
Dissertation |
The dissertation of the entity that you wish to look up. |
|
Thesis |
The title of the thesis of the entity that you wish to look up. |

Comment |
A general comment on the degree for the entity you wish to look up. |

Year |
The year in which the degree was awarded to the entity you are looking up. Note: if System Option #66 is set to N, any valid number (not necessarily a 4-digit year). may be entered. If System Option #66 is set to Y only years between 1700 and 2100 may be entered. |

Level |
The degree level that the entity you wish to look up has reached. Values in this drop-down list are validated against the tms_degree_level (D7). |

Non Grad |
The reason that the entity that you are looking up did not graduate. Values in this drop-down list are validated against the tms_non_grad table (BG). |

The degree type that you wish to look up. Values in this drop-down list are validated against the tms_degree_type table (G8). |

Local |
The field indicates whether you wish to look up local or non-local degrees. Hard-coded values include Local, Not Local, Other. |

Honorary Alum |
This field indicates whether the degree you are looking up from the institution was honorary. Hard-coded values include Honorary Alumnus, Not Honorary Alumnus, and ALL. |

Dept |
The department that granted the degree to the entity that you wish to look up. Values in this drop-down list are validated against the tms_dept_code table (EJ). |

Div. |
This field indicates the division that granted the degree to the entity that you wish to look up. Values in this drop-down list are validated against the tms_division table (D6). |

The honors received by the entity that you wish to look up. Values in this drop-down list are validated against the tms_honors table (AT). |
