To create a new resource:
On a current resource’s Resource Detail Form Header, click 'New'. A blank Resource Detail Form displays.
Enter the information for the new resource.
Save or cancel your changes. The Resource Detail Form will display. The system will assign the Resource ID once you save the resource record.
When you define a resource, one of the required fields is Resource Type. The four attributes associated with resource types are:
Assignable - Event, Assignable – Registration, Assignable – Participant, or Parent, depending on the status of this attribute
Event-specific Limit or Shared Capacity
Roll Up Consumption or Do Not Roll Up Consumption
Time Sensitive or Not Time Sensitive
Fields include:
Short Name |
This is the resource’s name that will be used in the event tree. You may enter up to 60 characters in this text field. Required |
Long Name |
This is the resource’s name and describes the resource uniquely out of context. You may enter up to 120 characters in this field. Required |
Sort Name |
This is the resource’s list and drop-down name. You may enter up to 40 characters in this text field. Required |
Resource Type |
This field indicates the type of resource as defined in Resource Types. Required |
Active |
A check in this box indicates you will be able to select and use this resource. By default, when adding a new resource, the check box will be checked. |
Allow Wait List |
This check box indicates that registrations can be put on a waiting list for this resource. |
Sub-resource Display |
This checkbox is available if the resource is not assignable. If the resource is a parent resource, and this box is checked, the resource tree will be expanded by default when viewed. |
Default Limit |
This is the default limit established for event-specific resources you wish to look up. |
