The Covering Account Lookup is used to search for information on an entity’s giving relationship with another entity. For example, use this lookup to search for all entities that have an associated covering account, all entities that are covered by a specific percentage or all active covering accounts.

Data Fields:

Covered ID |
The Advance ID number of the covered entity that you wish to look up. Press F2 to perform an entity lookup if you do not know the ID. |

Associated |
The type of donor association that exists between the entity that is covering this account and the entity that is covered (that is the one receiving the soft credit) that you wish to look up. Values in this drop-down list are validated against the tms_association table (IF). |

Covered Percent |
The portion of the primary amount, which is to become the soft credit amount for the covered entity for each gift or pledge made by the covering ID that you wish to look up. When looking up covering account information, enter the number as a decimal. The system will convert it to a percent and display it back to you. For example, enter .25 for 25% and .5 for 50%. Be careful: if you type 25, it will become 2500%. |

Active |
This field indicates whether the covering account that you wish to look up is active or not, independent of the start and stop Hard-coded values include 'Active', 'Not Active', 'ALL'. |

The start date for the covering account that you wish to look up. |
