Setting Security on TMS Code Definition Maintenance

It is strongly recommended that you set security on the TMS Code Definition application (TMSC) immediately after installing Advance due to the nature of the information contained in the TMS Code Definition application.

To set security on the TMS Code Definition application:

  1. Log into the Advance Configuration Utility.

  2. Select Web Admin then Applications from the Web Menu.

  3. When prompted, select the Profile to which the security will apply.

  4. Scroll through the list on the left-side of the Web Application Maintenance window and select TMS Edit Code Table List, Application ID 90424.

  5. Select the Security tab in the right-side of the window and the default security will display.

  6. Modify the default security, as necessary, by inserting and deleting rows and checking or un-checking the appropriate Grant and Deny check boxes.

  7. Save the changes.

  8. Purge the cache on the server.

Once application security has been established for the TMS Edit Code Table List application, the TMS entry will disappear from the Go To and all applicable portions of the Page Tree for users associated with the Rights Group that has been denied access to the TMS Edit Code Table List application.

As with other page, form and application security, the presence of Deny security always supersedes the presence of Grant security, i.e., if a Rights Group is granted and denied access to the same application, users associated with the Rights Group will be denied access to the application.
