DataLoader Batch - Error Log

The Error Log displays batch information relating to problems encountered with the data during validation. The listing of errors includes the description of the data, the row in the batch where the error occurred, the column name (if the error is in the header, column name will not display) and the corresponding error message which was generated as a result of the problem with the data. Once you correct the validation errors for the rows of data listed, you may post the data.

The Error Log may also contain warnings. Warnings are a reminder that an additional step may need to be taken with the data after posting. A warning does not prevent a record from being posted. If warnings are present, they are indicated by an asterisk (*) and also display in the Validation Errors list. If you wish to only view errors and not warnings, you can filter the list and remove warnings by selecting Exclude Warnings from the Actions Menu. To add warnings back to the list, select Include Warnings from the Actions Menu. If you close the Error Log form, the filter will automatically reset back to Include Warnings regardless of the setting when the form was closed.
