To add a Crystal Reports 2008 Server report:
Log into the Advance Configuration Utility.
From the Main Menu select Web, Web Admin then Reports.
When the Web Reports Maintenance window displays, click New. Since the syntax for the report is stored in Crystal Reports Server, you will not load the syntax in the Advance database via the Crystal Reports window.
Enter a name for the Report in the Report field and a Description for the report in the description field; both are required.
In the Report System drop-down list, select a value of Crystal Reports Server. By default this value will be Web Form.
Select the appropriate Type and Owner code.
In the Crystal Report field, enter the ID of the Crystal Report. This is the unique ID assigned to the report, during creating of the report in Crystal Reports. Since Crystal Reports Server 2008 provides a mechanism for adding report logic and prompts, the Configuration Utility will not allow you to associate a Prompt Form with a Crystal Reports Server 2008 report via the Web Reports Maintenance window. When you select a Report System of Crystal Reports Server, the Prompt Form drop-down list will automatically disable. All prompts and logic on Crystal Report Server reports must be incorporated in the report during development in Crystal Reports Server.
Click Insert in the Report Group pane and select a Report Group based on the type of report you are adding. This indicates the area(s) where the report will display in Advance Web.
Click Insert in the Report Security pane and grant and/or deny security to Rights Groups. The report will not be visible to users if you do not grant access to the report.
Enter additional information where appropriate.
Click Save on the Edit Menu.
